Zero Mostel, the Grinch, and why we read fairy tales

I stumbled across this two-year-old blog post and thought it was worth sharing. (I think Zero Mostel was a genius anyway, but that's not the point of the post.)

(Apparently the Grinch album in question can be downloaded at Way Out Junk, but that's neither an ad for Mostel's reading (apparently it's pretty scary) nor one for the download site--I know nothing about its safety. It's also listed on Amazon.)

Hi Mama Squirrel!

I'll vouch for the site's safety. Then again, it's my blog, so take from that what you will!

I also recommend the Zero Mostel album. It's a very interesting rendition of the story. He's more manic than Boris Karloff and less annoying than Jim Carrey.

Have a merry Christmas!
