Anna Sophia is shivering (Looking for Only Hearts Club patterns)

Crayons got an Only Hearts Club doll for Christmas, and likes her very much.

The only problem is that she came wearing this shorts set, and extra outfits cost about half as much as the doll does. They're nice, but pricey. Anna Sophia's getting a bit chilly.

We've been browsing around the Internet, looking at sewing/knitting/crochet patterns for other 9-inch dolls, like the old Skipper. I'm not sure that Anna Sophia's exactly the same body type--to me she looks a bit thinner and longer-waisted.

So far we've improvised a hooded poncho to match Crayons' (yes, even Mama Squirrel could figure that one out); and it's pretty easy to figure out an elastic-waist skirt or one-piece dress; but we'd like to make her some other clothes too. Any leads on Only Hearts patterns (online, commercial or in books) or workable patterns you've found that were meant for other dolls?

Could you use the shorts to create a pattern for pants? Turn the shorts inside out, trace them onto paper, adding enough length for pants. You can use the same drop from the shorts on the pants (I think that drop is the right term for the distance from waist to top of the inseam).

Back in the '90s Knitter's magazine published some knitting patterns with little girl sweaters and matching doll sweaters. Maybe you can find some used magazines on ravelry

I've been looking for patterns that fit OHC dolls too, must be sewing patterns as I can't knit or crochet worth anything. Fortunately I am requested only for dresses, which I think are a lot easier than making pants.

I've been eyeballing the pattern and doing almost all hand sewing. After a couple false starts I'm finally able to create some decent looking dresses. Now I need to figure out how to cut the patterns so I can sew tiny seams in delicate fabric on the machine :-)

Anyone with pictures of their home-made OHC doll clothes, could you please share them! My girls LOVE these dolls. They are behind the fansite at ohc4me.com.

If you're looking for cheap dresses that fit them, look for the old Sunshine Family dolls. Those are also 9" tall and I can confirm that the clothes fit the Only Hearts Club dolls.

Lab: thanks for the suggestion. I do have my old Sunshine Family dolls--never had many clothes for them either, though. I'll have to dig out Steffi's bodysuit and skirt and give them a try.

I can help! I just got 3 LHD yesterday at a thrift store, because their clothes fit a collector doll called Blythe!!
Blythe has a giant head and big eyes, but a small skipper like body.
She also fits skipper dresses. There are TONS of patterns on line for overalls, shirts, jackets....
**Also Simplicity sells a Blythe clothes pattern. The socks and leggings are great. Not sure if the large open neckline would work...
Here are some links to cut and paste:
