One of our favourite online finds during the last school year was SpellingCity.com. I liked being able to create our own spelling lists, and Crayons enjoyed the games. I got a newsletter today saying that they've ironed out some of the quirks, and telling about new features on the site--it looks like they're really listening to their users and trying to make it even better and easier to use.
And amazingly, it's still free.
[Update from Crayons: When I asked Crayons yesterday if there's anything she particularly liked about last year's school and wanted to do again, she thought about it for a minute and said, "Spelling City." There ya go.]
