I noticed this weekend that our rhubarb is pushing a little shoot out of the mud. We brought it back from Washington State last summer (well wrapped and protected in a suitcase!)and it's so scary when they disappear completely for the winter. This is a piece of a plant that has been at my husband's boyhood home since before his family moved in 40+ years ago.
