How I used to spend my Labour Day Weekends (Milton Steam-Era)
One of my grandpas loved steam tractors, steam trains, anything steam; and he and my uncle used to run machines like this in the annual Steam-Era event in Milton, Ontario. (Sometimes we got to ride up there too.) Watching this You-tube video brings back a whole ton of memories.

I love it. I was boilers officer on a steam ship for my first Navy job. And I used to routinely embarass my dh (back when he was just a boyfriend) by crawling under steam fire engines to look at their boiler tubes with my pocket flashlight.
He keeps promising to take me to steam days, where a bunch of steam fire engines meet at a lake and pump water.
That's funny! I remember going to a few of those Milton steam shows too - my family would take my Grandpa and he enjoyed it immensely - can't say I did though... ;-)
