We're not workbook snobs around here. If I'm going to buy a workbook, I don't much care if it comes from the Expensive Homeschool Catalogue or from Dollarama. It depends on what we want to use it for, and sometimes the Dollarama or Giant Tiger version works just fine.
This workbook is just a supplement that Crayons has used on and off last year and this one, when she needed a change of scenery. If you like quirky, this is your series. This particular book has problem pages featuring Alice Aardvark who knits nose-warmers, moose with bandage obsessions, fish who order meatballs in a Deep Sea Restaurant, and penguins making iced tea. As with most workbooks of this type, there's more artwork on most pages than problems. Note that this one is labelled Grade 2-3; last year Crayons, in grade 3, was able to do some of the multiplication pages; it's only this year that she's been able to do all the division ones. So if you're looking at inexpensive workbooks, consider what's actually being covered rather than the suggested grade level.
Plus there are stickers. What's not to like?
