When less is more

In life, and in homeschooling:

Getting Freedom from Debt posts about her family's recent experience Accepting Survival Mode.
"I had to take a step back, and look at what was really important, and what absolutely had to be done. It wasn’t easy giving up on my day to day tasks. I no longer needed my Home Management Binder because there was no time, no home, and no schedule. I couldn’t make meals without a kitchen, let alone make them from scratch. Although, I was getting pretty good at using a microwave!"
Cindy (Ordo Amoris) posts about Homeschooling in the Shallows.
"More and more I feel as if in spite of my 29 years in the homeschool community and my relative success with my sons, I am out of touch with the movement. It has become such a flurry of activity it is hardly recognizable anymore. This is conflicting. It is conflicting in the same way The Shallows offers a problem with no solution. It does not offer a solution because there might not be one."
And Juanita at Places Where Grace Is begins a series of posts on Lent.
"A quiet, purposeful beckoning.
An inviting Him into the denial of self.
An emptying of a part of me to make room for His fullness."
