I am still feeling somewhat subpar, but I went to the thrift store for part of the afternoon anyway. Nothing like books to perk you up.
This is what came home afterwards. A couple of these are going to be gifts or are for Mr. Fixit.
Schmoe White and the Seven Dorfs
The Star Wars Cookbook
(No cookie cutters though.)
The View From Lazy Point: A Natural View of an Unnatural World, by Carl Safina
Till Death Do Us Purl: a Black Sheep Knitting Mystery
Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, by John Perkins
Christ and Culture, by H. Richard Niebuhr
Douce Nuit, by Jill Murphy. Translation of A Quiet Night In. Familiar favourite to use for French class reading.
A Place for Owls, by Katherine McKeever (scroll down). Looks like a great nature study read aloud--and it's about Ontario.
In Grandma's Attic, by Arleta Richardson. For Dollygirl.

Ahem, yes. I can see that this is right up Mr Fixit's alley...
Well, you never know. But I actually meant it for The Apprentice.
