I have seen this show a few times (mostly while traveling and staying in hotel).
I wonder if Mrs. Schaeffer were to put out a new edition, she might address that idea of having too much. Your statement "using our will to make choices, rather than just accepting whatever default options present themselves" sums it all up very nicely.
We are currently knee deep in piles of stuff from our own version Clean Sweep on our storage room. My husband and I are in the process of "sweeping" our Everything Room to see what we can do with the piles of other people's treasures we have inherited. :-)GretchenJoannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13641677400029070452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10926562.post-42714507339251545292013-05-22T14:46:54.318-05:002013-05-22T14:46:54.318-05:00It is true that you can learn a lot about how to t...It is true that you can learn a lot about how to think about these things from some of these television shows. In a similar way, and for another chapter, I started changing the way I thought about clothing by catching a glimpse of the show What Not to Wear. It really helped me get out of the rut of wearing dated clothes, not to buy new clothes but to wear the ones I had in a different way.Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11240353902995298142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10926562.post-1818220215414294732013-05-22T13:44:33.185-05:002013-05-22T13:44:33.185-05:00My house is in a major need of decluttering--somet...My house is in a major need of decluttering--something I hope to get to this summer! Making decisions about what to move on can be wearing, though.

I recently reviewed Decisive, and it's great for both parents and teens. It really shows how to be intentional about using your will to make choices.

But unfortunately it has nothing to say about making dozens of relatively unimportant decisions. :)Annie Katehttp://anniekateshomeschoolreviews.com/noreply@blogger.com
