Jeanne, I see that quote jumped out at both of us! (The one about learning to live, I mean. I loved that.)

I just wanted to chime in and say that I have to schedule that extra stuff, too, or it doesn't happen. I am too inert. Not scheduling means not happening, unfortunately. :(Brandy Vencelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17945305890488681685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10926562.post-61414474173083812412014-03-15T00:23:27.127-05:002014-03-15T00:23:27.127-05:00And then we add in the Notes of Lessons in Vol 14 ...And then we add in the Notes of Lessons in Vol 14 of the PRArticles. These kids were taught! These lessons are supplied for the mums at home, and we see that after the read - narrate came a lesson!!

As you know, I'm working on CM Science, and these Notes of Lessons have really made me think. Along with the bio on Carl Linnaeus there needs to be a lesson on classification and binomial nomenclature, and that sort of means mum needs to educate herself first. Our homes need to be learning homes with little division between school and the rest of life. That is the challenge.
When the student teacher told CM she was at Scale Howe to learn to teach, CM corrected her and said that she was in fact there to learn to live. It's true, isn't it?
Great post. Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09573473465011631325noreply@blogger.com
