Jemimah's just finished Prince and Pauper. She and I were amused to find we knew the story from an old Christmas Mickey Mouse dvd that we watch each December. We grabbed it out for another look after she finished the book. We found it a great book for her to real aloud with its mock Elizabethan language.
We loved Robin Hood as well. We're great Howard Pyle fans here.
Actually not Howard Pyle this time around--we're reading the Roger Lancelyn Green version, partly because I ordered it by mistake (instead of Green's King Arthur) and partly because we had read quite a bit of Pyle's King Arthur out loud when Ponytails did Year 5, two years ago.
We have the RLG version as well, but haven't read it.
Haven't thought about Dudley Do-right for ever so long!! What a blast from the past.
Happy Easter to you and your family from me and mine.
Yes, to you too, Jeanne and everyone.
