Why I like Friday night suppers

We usually get groceries on Saturdays, so Friday nights are the time to have what Miss Maggie called "All the Good Leftovers."  Plus everybody's in a sort of TGIF mood.  
Tonight's menu:
Steak on a bun or vegetarian grilled sandwich
Canned soup, not because we can't make soup but because it was EASY
Last night's salad and pasta/sauce leftovers
Bits of things like hummus and tortilla chips
Cranberry-bran loaf (one to eat, one for the freezer), apples and pears.
